How to transition your wardrobe with success
When the seasons transition it’s very easy to stay stuck in previous seasons. I often come across wardrobes with pieces dating back decades as well as from all other seasons.
Although the Mancunian weather is difficult to predict - winter is here and your wardrobe needs to keep up so that dressing everyday is easy and less time consuming so having a wardrobe ready to go is a must!
Why transitioning season to sean is important? Here are some problems you are likely to face if you don't do anything about your wardrobe this season:
Feeling of overwhelm every time you open your wardrobe
Outfit creation is difficult- Seeing out of season pieces e.g. floaty dress when you need a jumper will mess up your mojo
Time consuming- imagine all the other things you would achieve if you didn't waste time in front of your wardrobe to wind up wearing the usual go to.

Set some time aside - on average it takes about three to five hours to depending on the size of your wardrobe to refresh. If you haven't culled your wardrobe for a long time or if you've never done it before, it will feel overwhelming. You could do an hour a week over a period of three to four weeks or you could break it down even shorter to 30 minutes twice a week. This makes it easier and less overwhelming.
Remove any items you have not felt the need to wear in previous seasons- these items can be donated/sold or recycled. This process will create the room in your wardrobe for newer more useful pieces.
