about natacha

My real style journey started in 2016…

shortly after the birth of my son. He was 5 weeks old when I found out my mum was dying of cancer- she passed away when my son was 12 weeks old.

During her time in hospital, I would get dressed to get through the day and started thinking carefully about clothes. I realised there is a strong connection between personal style and wellbeing- I would dress to feel good and style got me through those difficult heart breaking days at mum’s bedside.

As style got me through one of the darkest times of my life, I set up Savvy Style to help women dress authentically without the fear of judgement and to teach them ways to use personal style as a tool for positive wellbeing. The fashion industry is swamped with trends, we often forget about how fashion can be used to promote uniqueness and mental health- Why blend in when you can stand out and feel good! My ethos as a personal stylist is that style goes beyond fashion and trends.  It's about focusing on being in touch with your true self, really getting to know her and challenge limiting beliefs that force us to keep our authenticity hidden.

This approach helps achieve longer lasting and heathier personal style habits, which positively impact mental health. I am a self-taught personal stylist, studying for over a year the key styling skills, experimenting with my own style and successfully styling hundreds of women. I often get contacted by previous clients who tell me my work still positively influences how they think about clothes & how they approach life years later!

Increased self-confidence, assertiveness, increased self-esteem, reduced anxiety are some of the side effects of using my unique approach to personal styling. My background is in mental health, with over 20 years of knowledge and expertise- having been a mental health nurse and now a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, I have an expert understanding of mental health problems.

I take a special interest in low self-esteem, which is often manifested through personal style and that is where I focus my attention as a personal stylist. The work I do not only helps women elevate their style and dress confidently, but it also prevents the occurrence of mental health problems which can arise the longer we are not being ourselves.

I wanted to use style to help women overcome their personal battles. I stand out from the crowd by focusing on wellbeing 🧠❤ and offering a unique personal styling service. I help my clients identify their unique Signature Style and BUILD CONFIDENCE FROM THE INSIDE OUT.

Mental health awareness and uniqueness are emerging concepts in the fashion industry. My unique approach to personal styling is an example of how the fashion industry should be thinking and approaching style- A tool to promote positive wellbeing, a tool to celebrate uniqueness without fear of judgement.

My achievements:

- Setting up and running a successful styling business (Savvy Style) single handedly and getting it to its 5th year despite experiencing grief, a miscarriage and recently, major spinal operation.

 - In 2021 I became the Style Columnist for Cheshire Life Magazine. The Editor specifically chose me because of my unique approach to personal styling.
